When Faith Communities Organize, We Change Systems

Trinity doesn't just write checks—we show up, testify, organize, and build power for justice.

Social Justice Commitments

LGBTQ+ Solidarity

Full sacramental inclusion, Pride participation, advocacy against discrimination. This isn't "tolerance"—it's celebration.

"Learn to do good; seek justice, rescue the oppressed, defend the orphan, plead for the widow." —Isaiah 1:17 NRSV

Racial Justice

Anti-racism training, reparations work, solidarity with Black Lives Matter, and honest reckoning with systemic racism.

"For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek; the same Lord is Lord of all and is generous to all who call on him." —Romans 10:12 NRSV

Creation Care

Environmental stewardship, fossil fuel divestment, and advocacy for climate action. The earth is the Lord's—we must care for it.

"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; for in him all things in heaven and on earth were created, things visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or rulers or powers—all things have been created through him and for him." —Colossians 1:15-16 NRSV

Immigrant Welcome

Sanctuary support, opposing detention, advocating for comprehensive immigration reform, and welcoming the stranger.

"When an alien resides with you in your land, you shall not oppress the alien. The alien who resides with you shall be to you as the citizen among you; you shall love the alien as yourself, for you were aliens in the land of Egypt." —Leviticus 19:33-34 NRSV

Economic and Housing Justice

Fair wages, affordable housing advocacy, opposition to predatory lending, and commitment to economic systems that serve human dignity over profit.

"Therefore because you trample on the poor and take from them levies of grain, you have built houses of hewn stone, but you shall not live in them; you have planted pleasant vineyards, but you shall not drink their wine." —Amos 5:11 NRSV

“The church… has a responsibility for all, the rich and the poor, the ruler and the ruled, the oppressed and the oppressor, but it needs to point out that God does take sides… with those whom the world would marginalize, whom the world considers of little account.”

— Archbishop Desmond Tutu
