Faith Formation
Learning together at every age—deepening faith through Scripture, prayer, and community.
Growing Together in Christ
Faith formation at Trinity is about becoming more like Jesus—learning His way, practicing His life, and growing together as His disciples. It’s not about mastering information or passing a test. It’s about shaping a life: praying, studying Scripture, serving others, and allowing the Holy Spirit to form us in community.
In the Anglican tradition, formation engages the whole person—heart, mind, and habits. We explore the richness of Scripture, learn the rhythms of Christian prayer, and discover how the wisdom of the Church guides us in daily life. Growth comes through worship, fellowship, teaching, and practices that anchor us in Christ.
Wherever you are on your journey—curious, returning, or seeking deeper roots—there’s a place for you here. Our formation offerings welcome all stages of faith. No prerequisites, no pressure—just a community learning to walk the disciples’ path together.
“Discipleship is about how we live; not just the decisions we make, not just the courses we attend, but a state of being. ”
— Rowan Williams
Lifelong Formation
Fall & Spring Sessions
Small Groups
Twice each year—Fall (October–December) and Spring (February–April)—adults gather in groups of 6–15 for 10–12 weeks of conversation, prayer, and study. Topics vary by leader: Bible studies, book discussions, film series, or explorations of spiritual practice.
Spring 2025 Groups
Special Events
Lectures & Conversations
Throughout the year, we host one-time lectures, panel discussions, and conversations on topics connecting faith with contemporary life—theology, ethics, science, the arts, and social issues.
Upcoming
Spiritual Practices
Spiritual Direction
One-on-one conversations with Fr. Chris to explore where you are in your spiritual journey and develop practices to help you grow. A confidential space for reflection, discernment, and deepening your relationship with God.
Daily Prayer
The Daily Office—morning and evening prayer from the Book of Common Prayer—offers a rhythm of Scripture, psalms, and intercession. We can help you begin this ancient practice at home.
Scripture Study
Engage the Bible through guided study, lectio divina, or self-directed reading plans. Whether you're new to Scripture or returning after years away, we'll help you find an approach that fits.
Annual Parish Retreat
Each year the parish gathers for a weekend of rest, renewal, and deeper community. Extended time for worship, reflection, and unhurried conversation in a beautiful setting away from daily demands.
“Blessed Lord, who caused all holy Scriptures to be written for our learning: Grant us so to hear them, read, mark, learn, and inwardly digest them, that we may embrace and ever hold fast the blessed hope of everlasting life, which you have given us in our Savior Jesus Christ...”
— The Book of Common Prayer
Children, Youth, & Family Formation
Wednesday Night Formation
Children gather weekly for stories, activities, and faith formation using the Storymakers curriculum. Like our adult small groups, children's formation follows a Fall and Spring rhythm—though we often start a bit earlier in the year.
An adult small group often meets at the same time, giving parents and others a chance to grow in faith while the children are in formation.
Summer: Ecumenical VBS
Each summer we partner with local ELCA and United Methodist congregations for a week of Vacation Bible School—a joyful, cross-denominational celebration of faith for kids of all ages.
Youth Formation
Middle school and high school students are invited into the wider life of the parish—serving others, exploring faith, and preparing for confirmation. There's no single "youth group" model here; instead, we meet young people where they are.
Faith at Home
We believe parents are the primary teachers of faith. Trinity supports families with resources, seasonal activities, and a community that walks alongside you.
Wednesday Nights Work for Families
While children are in formation, parents can:
- Join the concurrent adult small group
- Enjoy a quiet hour for errands or rest
- Help with children's activities as a volunteer
Seasonal Family Events
Advent wreath-making, Easter celebrations, blessing of backpacks, and more—moments when generations gather to mark the rhythms of faith together.
“Have patience with all things, but chiefly have patience with yourself. Do not lose courage in considering your own imperfections, but instantly set about remedying them—every day begin the task anew.”
— Francis de Sales
A Rule of Life for Trinity People
Rooted in Trinity's values and the Baptismal Covenant, our Rule of Life offers a rhythm of worship, learning, and service—simple practices that help us live what we promise in baptism.
“There are those who seek knowledge for the sake of knowledge; that is Curiosity. There are those who seek knowledge to be known by others; that is Vanity. There are those who seek knowledge in order to serve; that is Love”
— Bernard of Clairvaux
